COLUMBUS, WI - Mary Kaschub, age 73 of Columbus, died Tuesday afternoon, April 19, 2005 at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus with her loving children at her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Columbus with Father Bruce Hennington officiating. Burial will follow in Fall River Cemetery, Fall River. Mary was born on September 17, 1931 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Assad and Charlotte (Gardinski) Ogoley. She was united in marriage to George Kaschub on January 6, 1951 in Fall River. Following their marriage, she and her husband owned and operated George's Texaco Station in Columbus for 24 years. In her later years, Mary worked for Cheeseman in Sun Prairie and Swiss Coloney in Madison in the mail order department, and also with Wisc. Dept. of Revenue. Mary will always be remembered as a private lady who had to be kept busy at all times and truly enjoyed keeping up her home. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Columbus. Mary is survived by two sons, George Jr. "Butch" (Winnie) Kaschub of Madison and Gary (Linda) Kaschub of Oregon, WI; one daughter, Gayle (Mitch) Hanson of Cottage Grove; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Ray (Kathy) Ogoley, OR and Don Ogoley, MA; two sisters, Delia (Henry) Martel and Beatrice (Robert) Bardellia, both of Massachusetts; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Zeidler Funeral Home on Friday, April 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
