AGE: 87 • Point Pleasant Beach
Mary (Coakley) Kelly, age 87, of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ died on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at St. Barnabas Monmouth Hospital Hospice/Palliative Care Center in Long Branch NJ. She was born in Clonakilty, County Cork, Ireland, immigrated to the United States in 1948, settling in New York City and lived in Rahway NJ before moving to Point Pleasant Beach NJ 25 years ago. Mrs. Kelly was a proud Homemaker. She was a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Woman's Club and was a former member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Ladies' Auxiliary in Rahway. She was a parishioner of St. Peter's R.C. Church in Point Pleasant Beach where she frequently volunteered, and was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Andrew Kelly; her sons, Andrew Joseph and Patrick Kevin, both of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Anthony and his wife, Judy of Monmouth Beach, NJ and James Francis of Ewing, NJ; her daughter, Mary Therese and her husband, Alan Black of Novato, CA; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 2nd, 4 - 8 PM at Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home - 812 Arnold Ave. Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 3rd, 11:00 AM at St. Peter's R.C. Church in Point Pleasant Beach. Burial will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Wall, NJ.
