Mary Ellen Mccabe

McCABE, MARY ELLEN (nee Preston), age 89, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, William McCabe, sisters: Doris Keiser and Trudy Golenz and a brother, Howard Preston. She is survived by her loving children: Vickie (Bob) Shortal, Tom McCabe, Maureen McCabe and Kevin McCabe and grandchildren: Leah Pekarik, Erin Shortal and Joe McCabe. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Preston and a brother-in-law, Roland Golenz and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ellen was an active member in Womanline, the St. Leonard's Sports Auction and a St. Leonard Sunday Community Member and also enjoyed assisting many other organizations in the community. The family would like to thank Walnut Creek Nursing Home and Hospice of Dayton for all their care and compassion given to Mary Ellen. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave, Dayton and again on Saturday, January 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leonard's Chapel, 8100 Clyo Road, Centerville 45459.
