Mary Ann Woll, 78, of Venice, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2009, after a brief bout with cancer.
There are no services planned. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the cremation.
She was born in Queens, a borough of New York City, on March 13, 1931. She attended Richmond Hill High School, where she met her husband of 57 years, Bill. They married on Oct. 6, 1951.
In 1990, Mary Ann and her husband retired to Venice from the family construction company in Wayne, N.J., where she was co-founder, president and chief executive officer. They will remember her smile, friendliness and hugs. Mary Ann was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post 159, Venice.
In addition to her husband, Bill, she leaves a loving son-in-law, Russell Diesinger of Reading, Pa., and a devoted godson, Tom Steffens of Palm Coast.

We send our most sincere sympathy in Mary Ann's passing. We will always remember her smile, and the friendship she first shared with us many years ago when we met you both while dancing at the Elks. She always made a point of greeting us and your other friends upon your arrival and did the same when you departed. She was a gracious lady and we know she will be greatly missed, but we will always have those memories.
