MATTHEW CONNOR Obituary
MATTHEW GORMAN
Age 28, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018, in Seattle, Washington. Matthew was a 2008 graduate of Peters Township High School and 2012 graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He was an accomplished swimmer, WPIAL Champion, and State Medalist in High School, and Team Captain at UCONN. In his professional career, Matthew served as a sales engineer with Eaton Corporation and Emerson Electric in Seattle, Washington. He was bright, talented, full of potential, and kind to all those who knew him. Matthew is survived by his parents, Diane Gorman and Lawrence Thomas Connor of Venetia, PA; his sister, Lindsey (Luke) Herlehy; and niece, Claire Pearl Herlehy of St. Charles, IL; and his grandfather, Gerald Gorman. Also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service in Matthew's honor will be held at a future date and place to be announced. Invitations will be sent to family and friends. Dear Gorman family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had a couple of classes with Matt at UConn - in mechanical engineering and also since I was also a UConn athlete. He was a kind and smart kid. I will keep you and Matt in my prayers.

I think back to when Matt was about 5 and how much he missed Lindsay after she spent a few days at Grove City Swim Camp with Kristin. When he saw her he knocked her over hugging her.
