McCord Christopher Craig

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023 McCord "Mac" Craig, loving son, brother and uncle peacefully left his earthly body at the young age of 30 at University of Maryland.

McCord Christopher Craig, lovingly known as "Mac" was born August 31, 1992, to Dr. James F. Craig and Margaret S. Craig (Sollenberger) in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mac was educated in the Baltimore County Public School System (Hereford Zone). From a young age he was artistically gifted with a passion for drawing, playing the guitar, making music, and rapping. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes, snowboarding, skateboarding and his friends with his super power of coordination and balance. He loved his hometown sports teams the Orioles and Ravens. As a young adult Mac pursued his love of art through tattoos and a short career as a tattoo artist. Mac was self taught mainly and started an apprenticeship at a few tattoo shops in the Baltimore area. Mac had one of the most contagious laughs and brightest smiles. A huge caring heart for all around him. Mac endured his struggles of life that do not define the sweet kind soul he was. He will be surely missed and delight in the knowledge he will no longer suffer the worldly pains.

Mac is survived by his mother Margaret (Maggie) Craig, father, Dr. James Craig, brother Dr. Ian Craig, niece Lydia; sister Allison Nash(Craig), (brother-in-law Robert Nash) nephews Tyler and Kamden and nieces Mackenzie and Kariss; Uncles Mike and Bob; and a host of extended family and friends. Mac is preceded in death by his uncle Randy Sollenberger, childhood friend J. Conner Peterson and a number of others.

In lieu of Mac's passing a private family memorial will be held. We ask that you post loving memories and stories of Mac for the family.

We encourage anyone dealing now and past with drug addiction to seek help. It is never too late, you matter, your life matters.
