On November 27, 2015, Melvin Fried; beloved husband of the late Mary Fried (nee Rutherford); devoted father of Melanie Fried (Louis Lee), Larry (Anita) Fried, and the late Evan Fried, and Linda Wasserman; devoted father-in-law of Michael Wasserman; loving brother of David (Betty) Fried, and the late Meyer Fried, and Herschel Fried; cherished son of the late Jacob and Toba Fried; adored grandfather of Jason (Laura) Wasserman, Cortney Fried, Stacy (Chris) Bateman, Jordan Fried, Isaac Fried, Xander Fried, and the late Kelly Wasserman; beloved great grandfather of Hanna Bateman, and Alexa, Amie and Adam Wasserman. Services at SOL LEVINSON & BROS., INC., 8900 Reisterstown Road, at Mount Wilson Lane on Sunday, November 29, at 12 pm. Interment Radomer Verein Cemetery - Rosedale. Please omit flowers. Contributions in his memory may be sent to the charity of your choice. The family will be receiving at 100 Brightside Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21208, Sunday only.

Melvin Fried known him since my younger years and was a great neighbor on gas station alley. There was never a dull moment on Slade Avenue and Reisterstown Road. In the 70s I would walk over at night to his station and he always had a good story or something funny that happened. We just sit out front of the station watching cars go by in the summertime. He was in to bee wax pills or excited about a new vitamin that had just came out and would want me to take them.
He will be missed by a large body of people that he touched over the years and he served our country to give us our freedom that some people forget about.
Melvin Fried will be flying through the sky looking down on his family and accomplishments R.I.P my friend.
