He was born May 13, 1942, in Okanogan, WA to Louis and Elaine Zutter. Melvin grew up in Inchelium and Tonasket, WA. His family moved to Twisp, WA his senior year of high school, where he graduated in 1960. Melvin married Judy Lundgren on March 9, 1964, and the couple made their home in Twisp, where they have resided for the past 45 years. Upon returning, Melvin, Judy and his parents owned and operated the Twisp Hi-Way Market from 1968 to 1978. Following the birth of their two children, Melvin and family owned and operated an excavating business. Melvin was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed working on almost anything. Don Thomason

April 28, 2009

Hey Mel,
Don here. Every since we moved back up here I've been meaning to come and see you. Now I'm too late, so I guess I'll climb on my old deceased Model A Ford and see if I can chase you down in your Crown Ford Victoria.
You were a real buddy in our high school days at THS and you will be missed in this life. In looking at your Obituary, I guess we both lived the same kind of life in trucks and business in our adult years. Butch is up there now, so maybe our Lord Jesus will find a Peterbilt with a good Cummins in it for us to cruise around the Angels, hauling their logs and freight? Don Thomason [email protected]
