Dougal & Travis,
Our family's love and prayers are with you guys. Michael was a mentor, a muse, a source of much laughter, but mostly a friend. We shared a love of our boyhood home in East Tennessee, and of our work. I can never relate how much joy he brought to my life, and my girls as well. He is a legend.....

Dougal and Travis

Michael and I had been friends for over 30 years, going back to Gino Vanelli and ELP days, along with Van Halen, Journey, April Wine, Bruce,World Youth Day, and the Salt Lake City Olympics. He was a great man and a great friend; one of those guys that would do whatever it took to get the job done. I will never forget the times we shared my kitchen in Park City, Utah, trying to "outcook" each other and telling stories of me being from the south and him being from the cold north!
Cherish the fond memories we all have of such a great man and friend; may he rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you.
Hang tough, he would have wanted it that way!

With love,

Steve Thomas
