Michael T. Conroy

Michael T. Conroy 29, of Pembroke, and a former longtime resident of Franklin, died Wednesday May 21, 2014 in Boston. Born November 13, 1984 in Weymouth, a son of Thomas E. Conroy, Jr. of Pembroke and Sherry (Barbara) Melendez of Guanica, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Pembroke as a young boy and recently had moved back to be near family. He was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 2003 graduate of Franklin High School where he excelled in hockey and baseball. For the past ten years, Michael worked for J.L. Marshall and Sons, Inc. a leading concrete company in New England as a laborer. He also worked for the former Lampasona Concrete Company in Franklin. He will be remembered as a hard worker, compassionate, goodhearted and would do anything for his family or friends. He was a member of the Laborers Local 22 in Boston. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Lauren A. Conroy of Cumberland, RI, and Suzanne M. Zaki of Whitinsville and two beloved nephews, Lucas Michael Conroy & Jacob Ashrif Zaki. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents Joe & Suzie Barbara of Hanover and his paternal grandmother Connie Conroy of Pembroke and many extended family members and friends. He was the grandson of the late Thomas E. Conroy, Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass Thurs. May 29th, at 10AM in St. Thecla Parish 145 Washington St. Pembroke, MA 02359.
