Michael Hajek Obituary
Evansville - Michael James Hajek, age 67, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Mike was born August 13, 1952, in Evansville, IN, to Ralph Hajek and Edna (Wilson) Light. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1970. Mike was a past member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. He retired after more than 20 years as landscaper at Ellis Park, where he was affectionately known as "Mow Man" and loved to watch the horse races.
Mike is survived by his sons, Michael Hajek (Ginger), Ryan Hajek (Rachael), and Jason Harwell; daughters, Amanda Geren (Mark) and Traci Harwell; sisters, Debbie Bitter (Joe), Becky Hampton, Lonna Downard, Vicki Fulton (Sam), Libby Dix; and brothers, Danny Hajek (Barbara) and Ted Weiss (Trudy); grandchildren, Jordyn, Emery, Nick, Lily, Alex, Kayla, Devin, Tyler, Adrianne; great granddaughter, Haven; and his loving daughter cat, Coffee.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carrie (Darnell) Hajek.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2020 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Chaplain Larry Davis officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, February 10, 2020 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray final expenses.

We are so sorry for the family's loss of my nephew Mike. We think of you all quite often. We have fond memories of the whole family...Danny, Becky, Debbie, Ted as well as Mike. Mike is with his Mom Edna and we will all see them some day. May God bless the Hajek family! We live in Florida now and due to health problems can not be there with family.
