Michael Keam Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Nov. 17, 2012.
Michael Keam August 7, 1953 - November 10, 2012 Mike passed away all too soon on Saturday November 10, 2012. Survived by his wife Sandy, sisters Eleanor, Lorna and Laura, brother- in-laws John and Richard, lots of nieces, nephews and his extended family, the Lassams. Mike had a very successful and long career working with the educational division of Microtel/TELUS. He made life long friends there and was able to retire early to start new challenges. Mike and Sandy did everything together from riding their motorcycles to San Francisco, playing baseball with the Steelers and the MLSters, creating amazing crafts, building a cabin at Birkenhead Lake, turning their homes into show pieces and their yards into parks. We'll miss Mike's witty sense of humour and his logical approach to solving any problem. Over the years he helped many of us with his knowledge and his advice. He loved to laugh, joke and enter into a good debate when warranted. We'll remember a great guy who did so much for our families. Mike, hope your sitting down with Beaner and watching MSNBC. We all miss you and will love you forever. Please join us in celebrating Mike's life at 7175 207th St. Langley, BC, Saturday November 24th from 12 noon - 4.00pm

Mike, I will certainly miss you a great deal. Heck, I miss you already. A true friend since I met you in the 70's. My best man in 78. Poker buddy for so many years. Our camping adventures down south. Our bike trip down the coast over 20 years ago. Often the voice of reason. I will miss our sharing of the quick wit back & forth. I will miss sharing the moments in life. Every time I have a rum & coke, I'll be thinking of you. Every time I walk through the mud room at the cabin that you helped with, I'll be thinking of you.
Mike, you have been well loved & will be well missed by many.
