Michael,
You were my firstborn - my beautiful baby boy. From the moment I held you in my arms, I knew you were something special. You grew into such a handsome young man, full of life, charm, and that unmistakable spark. You had a way of lighting up any room you walked into, always making people laugh with your quick wit and great sense of humor.
You chose a brave path when you enlisted in the Army. I remember watching you head off to boot camp, knowing it was just the beginning of a difficult and courageous journey. Then came deployment - a foreign land, a war far from home. Every night, I prayed for your safety, for your strength, for your return.
Mike, I am so incredibly proud of you. Your strength, your heart, your sacrifice - it all meant the world. I miss you more than words can ever truly say. My heart aches in your absence, broken in ways I can´t explain. But I hold onto every memory, every laugh, every moment we shared. You will always be my son, I love you Mom

Michael, I remember you calling Grandma from Chicago, while she was in hospice and saying goodbye to her. I know she heard what you said. Thankyou for that. She loved you very much. Now, I wish I could've had a chance to say goodbye to you. Again, I love you very much. I hope you look for grandma, I'm sure she's waiting for you!
Love you,
Aunt Jeanne
