I just heard the news about Michael and I'm so sorry for all of you. I grew up in the summer with the Heweys and Michael was my buddy. He always had a smile on his face and he could always make you laugh. When we were grown, he kept that boyish smile. He will be missed so much. You are all in my prayers. I had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Mike in my role as a Property Manager with PSPC. I frequently travelled from Halifax to visit Mike's workplace to conduct work activities and Mike was always more than helpful and very friendly. We shared stories about 4 wheeling and the great outdoors. Mike spoke so fondly of his family and he seemed to know everyone who walked through the doors at Service Canada. I remember visiting Digby when I was a young girl with Aunt Betty & Uncle Eddy, Michael was always so kind and gentle as all the Hewey Famiky were. Your Famiky chain has been broken and it's not easy to let go of a loved one but we know one thing, he was greeted with open arms by Evie and Robert. The province of Nova Scotia lost a very nice and friendly man . I lived in Annapolis Royal doing seasonal work for 11 years every fall Mike would help me file my EI and if i had a problem he always got to the bottom of it for me ....
