I was saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Mike was a senior cadet at RRMC when I was a junior. I believe he was the 4 bar Cadet Wing Training Officer a very difficult and responsible position. He,as I remember, was tough but a true gentlemen and very well respected by all cadets. If Officer Cadet Moore spoke to you there was definitely attention to be paid... I remember that well. A great loss.

Dear Katy and Christina,
We are so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your dad. He was a good man, always willing to provide support, and I, like many, benefited from his guidance. I was fortunate to have had him as a friend at RMC, and in Calgary after he moved west. I will miss him. Our thoughts are with you.

To the Moore Family... Like several others, I met Mike at Royal Roads and he always set the bar high for the rest of us. He was a great guy and a credit to the Military. God bless.

My sympathy is extended to Mike's family at his sudden death. I have good memories of visits by our family to Hilda and Bill's farm (Mike's parents) in Saskatchewan. It was a new experience for our children, Jane, Jim, Susan and John to be with their cousins on the farm. I remember trips with Mike and his brothers and sisters to Kenosee Lake in Moose Mountain Park and how the boys tried to throw their Uncle Bob in to the lake. Uncle Bob Norton, Calgayr

Mike - you set an example for us all during a formidable period at Royal Roads when we were developing our character and confidence. Our picture together in my office reminds me every day of those memorable times. You are not forgotten.
Your family should be proud - you did it right!

Dear Katy and Chris,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I just learned of the news and cant find the words to express my sorrow. Mike was my friend, colleague and we shared many long conversations on family, work and life overall. I will miss him. I am grateful to him for the chance to work with him and relax with him on the golf course or over lunch or a few pops.
He won't be forgotten.

Mike, I met you almost 43 years ago and today I am a better man because of it. Together with our classmates we started a journey which served as a catalyst for a bond only we can understand. It is bond founded on friendship, loyalty and trust and it has withstood the tests of time. Your departure will impact that bond, but as your classmates reunite in prayer and fond memories of what a tremendous individual you were, the bond will strengthen and we will once again be better individuals because of you. Watch over your loved ones; watch over us; and when our time comes, we will join you on the other side and complete our journey.
You will be missed my friend.

My condolences to you all, I am sorry for your loss. I met Mike when we both worked at Deloitte & Touche around 1990. Mike was a great consultant and mentor and grew into an even better friend in the years since. Most recently Mike and I met for lunch to catch up and exchange contacts for networking - always a consultant! It was great to get together with him and reminisce about the people we worked with in the past. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Christina and Katy: I first met your Dad when we were recruits (still kids) in Fraser Flight at Royal Roads. Mike was for me, the strong, silent type who could always be counted on, in whatever circumstance. Your Dad was driven to excel, and indeed he did in both the military, and in civilian life. One could always get a chuckle out of him and a smile. I will miss Christmas cards, phone calls, and time spent together. He was a wonderful friend, buddy, taken too soon. I wish you strength in this very difficult time.

Dear, Christina and Katy, we are deeply saddened by the loss of your father and our dear friend. As you know we met your parents in the seventies in Greenwood NS and became good friends. Sadly in the later years our visits have been few, but thankfully the road from Calgary to Victoria goes through Chilliwack and we have had a few more visits with Mike and he has always given us an update on what you guys were doing. Be strong, treasure the memories and know that your father was a great guy and a dear friend of ours. Love Dave and Bev Price, Chilliwack

Mike I met you almost 43 years ago and today I am a better man because of it. You, I and our classmates shared a journey which in itself, formed a bond only we can understand. A very sad day hearing about Mike's passing. We served together in 1 Fd Engr Sqn in the mid seventies. We shared many laughs and a few beers. Although we never kept in touch after Mike went west, I always thought of him when I would run into his youger brother Bill. The boys looked so much alike to me, I always called Bill, "Mike" when we met. I am so sorry for your loss.
