I meet Michael when he came to the VA as a patient. We would talk and laugh. He quit bright point and started at the VA. He always had a smile and we would talk for those few minutes. I was injured at work three years ago. One day when it was time for me to leave he showed up with a wheelchair. Michael was there to get me and to take me where I could get my car. He did that for several months and from that time I would talk to him daily. I am so honored and lucky to be be able to call him my friend. He truly will be missed. Please accept my condolences to his mother, children and his family. God gained another Angle. Sheri Williams

I worked with Michael, at Brightpoint. He was such a good tall gentle giant. We both worked the front desk and he would always speak to and give the young men, words of wisdom & encouragement. He will be missed.

Sending my prayers of comfort for all of Michael's family and friends. Mike had that ability to brighten a gloomy day or make a good day even better. His smile, his laugh and his caring made him one of the best assets to the VA! "Big Mike" changed people's lives by showing that he cared! Heaven has gained an amazing Angel. And to his family, please know that he meant the world to many of us here at the VA!! He was admired and adored by us all. God Bless you all!
