MICHAEL JAMES SCHMIDT

Michael James Schmidt, Levittown, PA passed away peacefully on July 24, 2021. Born October 1960 to the late Frank and Miriam Schmidt, in Philadelphia, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Linda Lee (nee Poynor), his three children, Danielle Campbell (Aaron), Michael, and James Schmidt (Kelli). His sisters Sandy Lopez (David) and Susan DiTommaso, mother-in-law Elsie Poynor, sister-in-law Cynthia Poynor and brother-in-law William Poynor Jr. (Diana). He was Opa to five beautiful grandchildren, Kendra and Karson Schmidt, Noah, Benjamin, and Samuel Campbell. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, Christopher Schmidt, Nicholas, Valarie and Brett DiTommaso, David (Linda), Jeffrey (Mary Margaret) and Kim Lopez, April Clifford (Anthony), Kristen Bowman (Jethro), Patti Schweizer (Peter), William Poynor III and Salvatore LaVecchia II (Elizabeth), honorary. There are so many "adopted sons and daughters" who will miss all the great stories he would tell and the advice he would give. His love of hunting and fishing was passed on to anyone who wanted to learn. Poppa Schmidt / Uncle Mike would look forward to playing poker, rednecks, horseshoes, shooting a game of pool or just hanging out with his family and friends, drinking plenty of Yuengling with them. He really valued the time spent out in nature, whether it was fishing, hunting or just walking in the river or in the woods. There will never be another man like him and we will miss him very much.
