Michael Webster Slice CHAPIN Michael Webster Slice, 55, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2013. Born on December 7, 1957 in Columbia, SC, he spent most of his life in Chapin, SC. He was the son of the late J. W. Slice and Patsy Livingston Slice. A loving husband for 33 years, Mr. Slice is survived by his wife, Sharon P. Slice who was his high school sweetheart. He is also survived by his sons, Ryan Slice (Lindsay H.) and Adam Slice; grandson, Hayden Slice; sister, Debra Martin (Ronnie) and brother, Jason Slice (Dina). Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. Mr. Slice was a devoted coach and mentor to hundreds of young athletes in the Chapin area. He was a lifetime member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church. He earned his Associate Degree in Business from USC. He worked for SCE&G for 33 years as a Journeyman for the Gas Department. Mike was known for his dedication, love and humor.
