Mildred Brown Obituary

Mildred Jean Brown, 80, of Westminster, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at home.

Born Dec. 21, 1933, in Pittsfield, Mass., she was the daughter of Howard Brown and Myrtle Allen Brown.

After moving to Westminster in the 1960s, she worked as a secretary in admissions at Western Maryland College, now McDaniel. She later worked at the American Heart Association, WTTR radio, and the Finch Law offices. She was fondly known as Miss Jean by friends at the Sunflower Hill Assisted Living in Westminster and MeMe by her grandchildren.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Deborah Z. and William O. Finch Jr., of Westminster, son and daughter-in-law David and Michele Zauche, of Silver Spring; grandsons Sean Finch and wife Laura, Cole, Ian, and Conor Finch, all of Westminster; and great-grandchildren Noelle and Joseph Finch.

A private memorial celebration will be held at Sunflower Hill Assisted Living.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Sunflower Hill, 416 Uniontown Rd., Westminster, MD 21158.
