As a friend of John I want to express my condolences to him and the family.
I never met Mildred but had heard much about her talent and style.
Her obituary tells about her rich and varied life and leaving a loving family.
Well done Mildred, now you may rest in peace.

Millie Lamb...what a TREASURE. I met her when first coming into P.E.O. Chapter BR in the early 70's. Because of my living overseas, I didn't get much time to spend with her but thoroughly enjoyed those fleeting moments when it was possible! Millie's incredible God-given charm, her adorable personality, and her clever mind were all wrapped up with a marvelous sense of humor! And yet with all that, plus being a performer in the limelight, she remained humble and deeply sensitive to the needs of others. It was heart-breaking to learn of her difficult health condition over the recent years but a great blessing to be sure of the everlasting JOY she's now experiencing with her Lord and beloved family members and friends. She is greatly missed!

Millie was such a bright presence in Chapter BR of P.E.O. She was so welcoming and loving. She gave me many pieces of hers and Bernard's sheet music, and, as I leaf through it, I always feel her positive energy flowing. I know she is with many musical friends in the heavenly choir.

Millie was such a friend to my Mom and Dad...Luella and Harrison Maxwell. Her voice and charm filled the Starlight stage..and I have such fond memories of that as a young person...and then as a smiling, happy member of PEO. The musical world in SD will miss this talented person...but my Mom and Dad and Millie are having a great time singing and performing in heaven!! LuAnn Maxwell Porter

To Millie and her Family---
Your mom/grandmother was one of my favorite PEOs.
She had such a twinkle and ready smile and her flare for music and the arts/drama/singing made her special to me also.
Millie's essence is definitely worthy of memories.

I have such wonderful memories of my Mammy growing up.We loved when she would take us for a ride and move the steering wheel back and forth so that we would swerve on the road.I don't know why we thought this was fun,but we loved it.She took us to see Star Wars at the Loma Theatre and when we returned home she had all of us say "May the force be with you" to Papa, although we were so embarrassed to do that. She made us Mammy Burgers(they were the best),and tun-tun sandwiches for lunches and always had Ovaltine.I will treasure those memories and hold them near to my heart. Until we meet again, remember that I love you.

I grew up next door to The Lamb Family on Point Loma. As a little kid I often played with her son. Back then our neighborhood was blessed with lots of kids and we all played together. When we'd have summer vacations, Milly had the most energy of all the moms and would often load all us kids up in the family station wagon and take us to places like Balboa Park's different museums, the SD Zoo and often the SD Yacht club to play/swim in their pool! I'll never forget those childhood years. I remember one year during our Christmas vacation she threw a neighborhood party one night for kids and folks filled with cookies and pastries. Then she took charge and orchastrated us all to go christmas caroling around the neighborhood. She made it a fun experience. I don't think anyone does stuff like that anymore. She was a kind spirit to all who knew her. She had such a beautful singing voice. Me and my Mom (who's now 94!) were so sad to see her move some 10 years or so ago now. She's in our prayers and I'm sure her spirit is once again with her husband and they're singing with the Angels above. My deepest condolences go out to the family. God Bless. Bruce & Mom
