Mitchell Mc Kelvie Cox March 10, 1989 - It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the death of Mitchell Cox after a long battle with depression. Dynamic, dedicated, humble, gentle, kind and funny, Mitchell brought us great joy and touched the hearts of so many.

I was away on a medical leave and just returned and heard the news of Mitch passing. We worked together at Thornhill pool as school board instructors for several years. Often he was the lone guy in a group of chatty Moms but he always held his own in conversations and even challenged me to change my perspective in discussions. As we started at the same place, he's always on my list of people I check in on and with as I move in our positions all around the city. Im just so sorry and he will be missed.

Dave, Robin and Helen - I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Mitchell's passing. My fond memories of him are of a grade one student who was bright, empathetic and loving. His beautiful smile and laughter lit up our classroom every day. How lucky we all were to have known him.
I am very sorry for your loss.
