Monica McCarthy Obituary
Monica was predeceased by her husband Edward "Mac" McCarthy, her first husband Thomas Roche, her sister Clairette Meagher, her brother Rudolph Long, and her son-in-law Patrick Conlon. She is survived by her brother Guy Long and sister-in-law Flo Long; her children, son Thomas Roche and daughter-in-law Susan Roche, daughter Lois Roche Conlon, and son Bradley Roche and daughter-in-law Lisa Roche. Monica will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Christopher, Natalie, and Ryan Roche and Patrick and Monica Conlon.
In her early years, Monica moved with her family to Hartford, Connecticut. She later lived in West Hartford and Newington before spending the last 11 years of her life in Costa Mesa, California with her daughter Lois. Monica had a varied career that included working for Aetna Life Insurance and as a sales manager. In retirement, she found joy in working as a crossing guard for the Town of West Hartford.
Monica was a talented pianist who played by ear and composed her own music. She was fluent in French and cherished time spent with friends and family above all else.
May Monica's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
