Monique CYR

CYR, Monique Yvonne
passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31st, 2011 at the age of 49. She was the loved eldest daughter of Arthur Cyr and Suzanne (deceased), step-daughter of Deanna, and much-loved sister of Christine (Al Whitaker), and Nicole (Greg MacIsaac). She was also loved by her nieces and nephews, Andrew, Elleisha and Danielle Whitaker, and Megan and Kyle MacIsaac, to whom she described herself as "ma tante Monique". Monique was also well-loved by her extended family including special uncle Peter Leclair (her "boyfriend") and aunt Elaine Leclair, Victor and Jill Cyr, Paul and Jackie Cyr, Rita Cyr-Hicks and Peter Hicks, Wilfrid Cyr and her 17 cousins. Predeceased by her Uncle René and Aunt Nelly. She will also be missed by her step-sister, Carolyn Hamilton (Bob), and step-nephews, Christopher and Justin. She will also be lovingly remembered by her best friend, long-term housemate and pseudo-sister, Janis Smye, and her mother, Muriel, and home-share support, Georgette Campbell and her son Gyasi. Friends may pay respects at the Scott Funeral Home Brampton Chapel, 289 Main Street North (905) 451-1100 on Friday, January 6th, 2012, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 7th, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the Scott chapel.
