Myrna Loy Walker was called home to eternal rest on Sunday January 29, 2023. Myrna was born on September 1, 1940, to the late Roscoe and Seymia Williams in Ft Worth Texas.
Myrna and her husband the late James Walker met while he attended Emporia College in Emporia, Kansas. Their union produced three boys Andre, Jeffrey, and Kevin.
Myrna was a multitalented person; she was a phenomenal cook and a seamstress in her spear time. She was known for her excellent macaroni and cheese. Myrna occasionally made some of her own Cloths.
Myrna's career at Estee Lauder followed her life pattern. She began at a entry level position. Myrna retired after 30 years of service as Estée Lauder’s supervisor of Record retentions. Myrna was a self-made woman, she worked two jobs at a time while attending colleges. She was so dedicated to furthering her education she often took 2 courses at a time until graduating with her Associates Degree in Business.
Myrna was a super woman, despite working full time, raising three boys earning her college degree, she
found time to live. Her favorite hobbies include traveling the world. She loved vacationing in warm climates, including every Caribbean Island. She was especially proud of her trip to Africa. In her younger years she skied world class slopes from Aspen to Austria.
Myrna is survived by her 3 sons Andre, Jeffrey, and Kevin, daughter in law Kim Walker and Veronica Walker, Grandchildren Shambray, Alexis, Ashley, Deandre, and Kourtney and two great grandchildren Zakari, and Leila. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
