Nancy Lee Plummer, age 70, of Waukegan, IL, departed this earthly life on December 9, 2006.

Nancy was born to the late Gus and Lillie Plummer on February 24, 1936 in Lake Village, Arkansas.

Nancy confessed Christ at an early age. She was baptized and became a member of the Woodson Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Village. She later joined with the New Revelation Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana. Nancy believed in prayer and she held steadfast to her faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Nancy received her high school diploma and went on to attend classes at Crane Community College. She worked for many years as a paraprofessional in the Chicago Public Schools and ended her career as an insurance claims processor.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory five children, Beverly (Herbert) Downs of New York City, New York, Lillie (Keith) Joplin of North Chicago, Illinois, Sharl (Deborah) Plummer of Los Angeles, California, Karl (Marsha) Plummer of Olympia Fields, Illinois and Robert Plummer of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers, Clarence Plummer of South Bend, Indiana, Delmer (Margie) Plummer and Leroy (Dollie) Plummer of Lake Village, Arkansas, two sisters, Ellen Brandon of Richmond, California, Pearl L. Tolliver of Chicago, Illinois and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Lillie Plummer, three brothers, Edward Plummer, Alonzo Plummer, Andrew Plummer and two daughters Sharon Jo Plummer and Trenella Jo Gant.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 16, 2006 at Shiloh Baptist Baptist Church, 800 S. Genesee St., Waukegan, IL. Rev. Walstone Francis, Pastor, Rev. Charles Ivy, Officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL. You and I both know who is in charge. HE IS THE TRUTH,THE WAY and THE LIFE!! GOD knew mommie was weary, he needed her more than we did. I am going to miss her dearly.
