Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 26, 2023.
Nathan Matthew Kubisak, also known as Nate or Shabang, passed away on August 12, 2023, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 36. He was born on June 26, 1987, in Streator, IL. Nate was an energetic and fun-loving person who brought joy to those around him. Sadly, he lost his battle with addiction.

Nate is survived by his parents, Ken and Patti Kubisak, his grandparents Jim and Carole Campbell, his brothers Tim Kubisak and Brian Kubisak (Sabrina Buelens), his sisters Janelle Holmes, Jennifer McGillen, Sarah Kubisak, and Delilah Kubisak, as well as 11 nieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ed and Roberta Kubisak, his uncle Jeff Kubisak, and his cousin Jimmy Campbell.

Nate attended Sandwich Schools for his primary education and received his GED from high school. He had a passion for acting, singing, and dancing, and he excelled in all three. Nate's favorite things to do included sharing his talents with others.

A memorial service is being planned at Village Bible (Plano Campus). on October 29th at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a homeless shelter or addiction center in your area. Your contribution would make a difference in the lives of those struggling with similar challenges.

We remember Nate's spirit and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul find eternal peace.

The first time I met Nathan I was about seven years old. I was upstairs in Sarah´s room watching a movie and he came upstairs and introduced himself as my uncle and gave me a hug. I give all my love and hugs to my family today. And I pray for healing. I wish I could be with my mother Janelle, my grandma and grandpa, and my aunts Sarah, Delilah and Jennifer and my uncles Brian and Tim.
