Nathan Swift, age 39 of Battle Creek went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in Battle Creek Hospital. Nathan was born in Lancaster Pennsylvania, to his parents Kalen and Sheryl (Sherman) Swift. He was raised in Lancaster until summer of 1989, when the family moved back to Nashville. Nathan graduated from Maple Valley High School in 2000. He then continued after his daughter was born, while working full time, to receive a MLT degree from KCC. After a few years off he then decided to it was time to learn some more and completed an online course from Weber State University in Ogden Utah and received a Bachler of Science Degree. Nathan loved learning and used this knowledge he gained to help homeschool his children. He was employed by Roche Diagnostics as an at home technical support specialist, and this enabled him to create friendships all throughout the United States. Nathan loved sports. Growing up he played baseball, basketball, football, ran cross country and slow and fast pitch softball. He was a jack of all trades, anything he wanted to learn he would. Nathan's recent interest was everything musical. He loved playing the piano, saxophone, guitar, writing and recording music. His favorite thing to do with this talent was write songs for God's glory and record them to share with others. Nathan always enjoyed being with people, and his love for God gave him the desire to disciple to others EVERYWHERE he went. Most important to Nathan was God and then his family. His favorite thing was spending quality time with his wife and children. Nathan loved to be outside with his family playing basketball, baseball, volleyball, riding bikes, and playing on the playground he built. When they weren't outside, they were inside playing games, watching movies, letting his kids put makeup on him and just loving spending time together. Nathan will be forever missed by his best friend and wife Amy; six amazing children, Mackenzie, Derek, Devon, Mariah, Judson, and Grayson. His loving parents Kalen and Sheryl Swift, brother Jeremiah (LouAnne), sister Bethany (Rich) Cook and many nephews and nieces. Nathan left behind many wonderful friends throughout his life, including his best friend Chad, who encouraged Nathan as they walked through life together. Nathan will join his son Jonathan in Heaven. A special thank you to his mother-in-law Julia, who spent the last two weeks of his life with him in the hospital talking and reading the bible to him and encouraging him to fight. Thank you, Bronson Battle Creek ICU, for taking great care of my husband!! Funeral services to celebrate Nathan's life will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Victory Life Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Dear Nate,

My Family and I want to say we appreciate all of the love a care you took to reach out and encourage us. The music, the stories, the laughter and your awesome testimonials really made a difference. They changed a work place to a place of praise and worship and fellowship between calls.

You are loved and appreciated bro and we will see you and catch up with you when we get there. We Praise God for your Life and the time he shared you with us!

Much Love, Prayers, and Hugs to Beautiful Swift Family.

Words cannot express our sadness and sorrow for you and the kids. We are thankful that there is hope to see him again and that he is now watching over his family and friends from above. We are blessed to know he thought of us as friends and that I had the opportunity to share in a part of his life. I fondly remember the site of Nathan bringing his short baseball glove to the softball field as he scooped up every ball hit his way and was thinking he doesn't even need a glove. May you and the family be blessed by the peace of Gods presence.
