My beloved cousin, how I miss you so much. I will never forget all the great times we shared,& all the times you made me laugh and feel better when I was down. You were always the best when it came to cheering anyone up and just putting a smile on anyones face, by your loving hugs, special words or just your beautiful smile. You were always reminding us all how important family is and you helped me be the person I am today. I thank you for always being there for me and promise I will always take care and be here in return for your girls and Ben no matter what. I promise I will be the cousin they look up to and appricate just as me and my brothers always looked up to you. We always thought you were the coolest and always bragged about you to everyone. I will never forget the lasttime I saw you at my moms house..when I got there and you were sleeping on her couch, when she told me it was you I ran over and jumpped on you to wake u up and remember I started tearing up because I was so happy and suprised you were there. It was the beginning of March 2009 and was the first time time i seen you in like 2years. You woke up and just kept hugging me and telling me you couldnt believe how grown I was. It was so nice to see your face. Iremember as time went by I didnt want to leave but had to so you walked me all the way to my car holding my hand the whole time and repeating how much you loved me and how much you missed me. That evening honestly made my whole day. And now I live with that moment remembering everyday. Seeing you always made me so happy but I've come to accept that you are always here with me even, in my memories, thoughts, prayers, and dreams. I know you had struggled so much here on earth and know in my heart you are at peace and are worry free in heaven with John, Yiayia and Uncle Benny,Dennis and all the rest of the family. Our eternal guardian angels keeping us all safe. I love you incredibly so much and will always miss you until we meet again!<3 xoxoxoxo your cuz Alisha.

My heart still hurts and I miss Nick everyday.

I have so many great memories. All of us at YiaYia's when we were little, playing in the lot and church on Sunday's. Nick driving me home in the snow and spinning tire of course. Him bringing the girls to my house when we lived in South Side. His love of Star Wars. The day he showed up at my house with boxes of Star Wars stuff for Bobby because he was just as crazy about Star Wars as Nick was. I could go on and on....

I miss his late night calls. I miss him stopping to visit and raiding my fridge. I finally stopped buying extra candy cigarettes for Halloween cause he's not here to eat them.

I'll never forget the last night we were all together. I relive that night in my dreams often. The smile on his face when he saw me from across the room is burned in my mind.

Nick was another brother. He is and always will be speical to me. He had a way of making me laugh and smile. He had a huge heart.

But most the most important thing you kids should know is he loved you very much.

I miss him everyday. But I know he is around...I keep finding dimes.

Love,
Nicolette

Dear Diane and family,
It's hard to believe that it's almost been a year and the hurt still burns in our hearts. We are always thinking of you and saying our prayers for you and every-one else that mourns for NIcky. He will never be forgotten. There's not a day that goes by that we're not thinking of him or telling a story about him. We miss him so much !!! Take care and if there's anything you ever need don't hesitate to call us. We love you!

sorry for your loss. much love!

April 3, 2009

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Mom,
I see tears fall down your face
When your thoughts have turned to me.
Just know that I’m in heaven,
With my Lord, who’s set me free.
No pain or sadness do I feel,
For God is by my side.
The beauty here in Heaven
Is now where I reside.
I know it’s hard for you to cope
For you can’t feel my touch.
But every moment, I can see
And love you very much.
When you are at your lowest
And feel you can’t go on,
Look towards the heavens
The light will be turned on.
Talk to me, just like you did
On earth when I was there.
You see, I’m not so far away …
Only as far as a prayer.
And when it’s time for you to join
Me up in Heaven above.
It’s then that you will realize,
The Golden Place of love.
For here there is no sadness,
Just everlasting light.
Someday we will be joined again,
When it’s time to take your flight.

Dear Diane,

I'm so sorry to hear about this and he will be deeply missed. Even though we lost touch for a few years, I will always love him like a brother. He did call me about a year ago and we got to talk for a little. It was so great to hear from him! He was so proud of his kids. Wow, it's so hard to write this. Preston called me today and told me it was him. I couldn't believe it. I didn't want it to be true.

All the memories from Capa and the ski trips we took together.

I love you Diane and God Bless you and your family. Nick will always be with us. Sorry I couldn't make it to see him but I'd like to speak with you. I'm in tears.

You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. You will be in my heart until the day I die, just like you have been since the day you walked into my life. You were like a father to me, accepting me as your own. I loved you like a father, you did a lot for me and my family. You loved us, cared for us, and did everything in your will power to make us happy. We have many great memories that we will remember forever. You were a great father to my brother, me and your two daugthers. You were a great man towards my mom. You loved her unconditionally and I know you still do. You watched over her with all your soul and I know you will still be watching over us. Daddy Nick, we will make you proud. We will do everything to show you that we love you.
