Nicholas Lillios

Judge Nicholas E. Lillios, 78, of 3055 Holiday Court, Bettendorf, a former longtime resident of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, following a brief illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Greek Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Basil Hickman, the Rev. Joseph Strezlecki and the Rev. Emmanuel Lillios. A Trisagion service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, with military rites.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Evangeline (Von); their five children and their spouses, Dr. Anna Lillios (Dr. George Everett) of Orlando, Fla., the Rev. Emmanuel Lillios (Theresa) of Bettendorf, Nicolette Diamantis (Dr. Steve) of Omaha, Neb., Judge Paul Lillios (Mary) of Northbrook, Ill., and Mariellen Crosson (Brad) of Bettendorf; 14 grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Everett, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Amalia Lillios, Stephanie, Christina, Melissa and John Diamantis, Nicholas, Barbie and Constantine Lillios and Katie and Lia Crosson.
