NEWTON � Noah �Dee� Coy Carroll, 70 of Newton passed away on January 26, 2007 at his residence. Born Feb. 1, 1936 in Wilkes County, he was the son of the late George W. & Katie Belle Rhymer Carroll. In addition to his parents, a son, David Noah Carroll and brothers, Clint Carroll, Verl Carroll and Famon Carroll, preceded him in death. Survivors include sons, Gary Carroll of Hickory and Jim Grubb and wife, Tracy, of Graham; daughters, Cathy Carroll Hilton and husband, Latt, of Lenoir and Sandra Carroll Lavery and husband, Charles, of Vale; sister, Faye C. Puett and husband, Thomas, of Hickory; grandchildren, Chance Carroll, Casey Carroll, Amanda Hilton, Shea & Emily Abernethy, Deidra & John Powell, Jamie & Cliff Jenkins, Davina & Jerry Clark and five great-grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funerals & Cremations on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Holscloth and Pastor James McKinney officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Puett, Steve Hart, John Powell, Jerry Sigman, Blake Carroll and Kevin Crubaugh. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Carroll and Donald Parker. The Carroll family will receive friends in The Celebration of Life Room at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 4 � 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Palliative CareCenter and Hospice of Catawba Valley, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
