Norman McLEAN Obituary

Published by Ottawa Citizen from May 2 to May 3, 2013.
McLEAN, Norman McKay
WWII Veteran
On Thursday, April 25, 2013, just days after celebrating his 91st birthday, Norm passed peacefully at the Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 62 years to Edythe (nee Wills). Loving father to Michael (Karen) of Nepean and Heather Day (Steve) of Munster. Proud and loving Papa of grandchildren Kevin (Christine), Ashley (Patrick) and Kyle (Brittany) and his great-grandsons James and Ryan. Norman retired after 34 years of service from the Department of National Defence. He was located at Computing Devices Canada Limited for much of this time. A kind, gentle and loving man, he will be greatly missed by his family. The family would like to thank the staff at the Perley, Gatineau 1 North, for their care and compassion. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service and interment of urn at St. Richard's Anglican Church, 8 Withrow Ave., Nepean (at Merivale Rd.) on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Friends are invited to share refreshments and stories following the service at the home of his son. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Norman McLean to the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation is appreciated. Condolences may be offered at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
