Norman Edward Poppy, age 64 of Bowling Green died Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11am at the Woodburn Baptist Church, 600 Woodburn Allen Springs Road, Woodburn, KY 42170. Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm Friday and 9am until 11am Saturday all at the church. A native of Fayette, Alabama, he was the son of Robert Edward Poppy and Geraldine Saigon Poppy who reside in Park City, KY. He was a construction worker and heavy equipment operator most recently working with Charles Deweese Construction. He was a member of Woodburn Baptist Church. Number one in Norm’s life was Jesus. He taught Sunday School and youth groups for over 40 years. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and was very much a people person. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 44 years – Catherine Ann Farabaugh Poppy; children – Jacob Poppy of Bowling Green, Daniel Poppy (Lacey) of Franklin and Casey Poppy Hall of Bowling Green; 7 brothers and sisters – Roberta Kreiger, Gerald Poppy, Loretta Beebe, Susan Lekzian, Linda Burgard, Annette Jennings and Timothy Poppy; grandchildren – Madison Gregory, Tristan and Matthew Hall, Eli, Evan and Ezra Poppy along with many nieces and nephews.

Never met anyone that I would say loved the lord more and was a friend even when you didn´t deserve a friend. I love you buddy and can´t wait to see you in heaven. My heart goes out to the entire Poppy family. We grew up together.
