NORMAN P.
Age 87, of Castle Shannon, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Preceded in death just two and a half months ago by his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen Sweeny; loving father of Patricia Sweeny, the late John (Lorna) Sweeny, Tim (Linda) Sweeny, Tom (Bill) Sweeny, Peggy (Michael) Redford, Maureen (Jason) Burton and Eileen (the late Paul) Karras; dear grandfather of Matthew, Danny, Joanna, Nick, David , Kevin, Scott, Brian, Sarah, Jessa, Samantha and Joey and their spouses; also 18 great- grandchildren; brother of Dolores Paulson and the late Bernard and Merle Sweeny. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS, McMurray. Friends and family are welcome at 2828 Washington Rd., McMurray, 724-941-3211 on Thursday 2-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday 12:30 p.m. in St. Anne's Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Church, 400 Hoodridge Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Please add or view tributes at:

Accept my deepest sympathy in the recent loss of both your mom and dad. What awesome parents they were! I have numerous fun memories of them when we were young. Always welcoming and kind; loved to laugh and enjoyed a good joke.

Eileen and family please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of your father. I'm so sorry I did not know you lost your mom until I saw she was next to my Larry. I remember what wonderful parents they were and I pray their memories and love bring you comfort.

There are truly no words to describe the sadness upon hearing of Norm's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
I am blessed with so many memories of Norm that span many years. He was always a welcome site when I took the trolley and we would chat all the way to town and he would show me pictures he took when flying. My parents had annual pig roasts where Norm and Helen were always a fixture, and how he loved the cookies I made (Rum balls). These are truly great memories to have. God bless you all and may He grace you with strength to endure this difficult time.
