Laila Nielsen Obituary
NIELSEN Laila Jytte NielsenPassed away suddenly August 6, 2008 at the age of 59. Survived by her daughter Connie (James) Buss, her two sons Sonny (Danielle) Nielsen and Johnny (Angela) Nielsen, six grandchildren, Aric, Andrea, Aidan, Brianna, Branden and Owen, her brother Sonny (Diana) Slyngbom and her two sisters Jeanette Plein and Heidi (Claetn) Slyngbom. Laila was a very loving and giving woman. She devoted herself to her family and gave more than ever asked or expected. Laila's passion was spending time with her six grandchildren. She had a special bond with each of them. Because of her nurturing and caring heart she truly enjoyed her work as a community health care worker. Laila also loved traveling and gardening at her community garden. Laila touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held for all who wish to attend on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at 356 Still Pond Place, Kelowna, from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A formal church service, open to all, will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the Danish Lutheran Church, 6010 Kincaid St., Burnaby, at 1:00 pm. You are the best "mom" in law I could have ever asked for, and the most amazing mormor. You are missed every day. I am so grateful that you have spent so much time with us and our kids, we will never forget all of our times together. Words cannot describe the loss we feel.

Laila (The Little Flower Girl) which was Mom and Dad's Nickname to you as you always sat in the flower fields picking flowers in Denmark.
