I had the pleasure of having Mr. Zanchettin as my Spanish and Italian teacher, and then later be my mentor. I shared a classroom with him at Dieruff and fondly remember he was always singing or whistling to himself. Such a kind and caring person! He will truly be missed.

To the Zanchettin family, I had Mr. Zanchettin for Spanish when I was a student at Dieruff and LOVED him so much. I was a shy Spanish speaker and he never stopped encouraging me. I will always remember his kindness and dedication to his students.

May his memory always be a blessing and his love a warm embrace.

Dear Santa, Valerie and Adrian:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of your dear Olindo. He was a wonderful friend and clearly a great family man! It was always fun and enlightening to have a conversation with him. He truly loved languages and everything to do with the Italian culture. The students at Muhlenberg College loved Professor Zanchettin! It was so hard to hear how much he was suffering this past year! We pray for your family during this difficult time and we hope that the beautiful memories of happy times together give you strength and comfort!
We will miss Olindo very much.
Sincere Condolences to you, his brother, his sister and the rest of the family.

To Santa and Maria, my dear, wonderful teachers at Trexler Junior High School and William Allen High School, who made it an absolute joy to learn Italian language, art and culture, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your husband and brother, Olindo.

Although I never had any interactions with Mr. Zanchettin, I know that he was a highly respected and talented educator in the Allentown School District who made a positive and lasting impact on the lives of so many of his students over the years.

God Bless you both and God Bless the entire Zanchettin family.

Olindo was a father-figure to me when I started teaching. He was an amazing mentor, and education was his life. I will always remember him pulling into the Dieruff parking lot on his motorcycle. We have lost a man of many talents, but a beautiful light that is Olindo's soul now illuminates the skies of God's heaven. I loved Olindo. My prayers are with Santa and with his children at this difficult time.

Dear Mr. Zanchettin,
You were also dedicated to your students. I was one of your Spanish students during your first year at Dieruff. You made learning fun, and therefore, made me want to learn. I've thought of you often over the years, and because of you inspiration, I am now fluent in 4 foreign languages. There aren't many teachers, or people, who have had that effect on me. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to return to Dieruff and tell you all this. I hope it gives your family some comfort. God Bless you, and may you rest in Peace.
