Oliver Steven Clair Thompson
Oliver, son of Jason & Emily (Sluss) Thompson of Malvern, died Tuesday February 7, 2023 unexpectedly at Akron Children’s Hospital in his parents’ arms, surrounded by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Henry; grandparents, Terry Thompson of Indiantown Florida, Stellie Wollman of Malvern, Steve & Brenda Sluss of Paris; great grandparents, Elden & Dolly Sluss of Paris and Judy Milligan of Minerva. Oliver has many honorary grandparents and many Aunts and Cousins who loved and cared for him dearly as well. Also many dear Nurses and health care providers who cared for him and his brother with so much love and attention. We are so grateful for all their support.
Oliver is preceded in death by his twin brother, Wyatt; grandparents, William Milligan, Clair & Marcella Binegar, and uncle Marty Binegar.
Oliver was fond of being held by all and loved books being read to him. He loved twinkle lights, toys that crinkled, and snuggles with daddy and any activity with his brother Henry. Oliver liked when his mama would sing to or hum to him. He also enjoyed watching shows on his tablet that had bright colors, especially Bluey. He was calm and happy outside and was a “camper” at heart for sure but did not care for snow. He always expressed how he felt in his own way through his various noises and his “smile eyes” obvious to those who knew him.
Oliver attended the Minerva Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses with his family. Oliver is dearly missed. The family takes comfort in knowing they will see him and Wyatt again. (John 5:28-29)
The family in behalf of Oliver would also like to thank the many members of the community who were generous or helped with his needs. The support was overwhelming by many good people.
A memorial service will be held in person at 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 18th in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 3713 Paris Ave. SE, Minerva Ohio. For those unable to attend, you can join the service via Zoom at 3:00 pm.

I happened on little Oliver's obituary & just had to extend my deepest sympathies. May God grant you sweet comfort & peace in your bereavement.
We too had a special gift in a daughter who was also a twin! Annie had hydrocephalus at birth and was severely handicapped. The promise of seeing her in heaven, completely healed is an unspeakable comfort!
God be with you!

Jason, Emily. We are sorry for the passing of Oliver. You two have bin so outstandingly faithful as parents to all of your children. Jehovah has to be so pleased with what you've done for your family. We all look forward to the day in paradise when you'll be reunited with all your children in good health and true joy.
May Jehovah continue to bless you.
We love you.
