Olivia Sharpe

Olivia Hall Sharpe CHARLOTTE - Olivia Hall Sharpe, 97, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 to join the Lord and to be with her parents Oda Mae Spinks and Walker E. Hall, five brothers and four sisters. After graduating from Pineville High School she attended Mitchell College. She was employed by JB Ivey Department Store as a buyer for 17 years in Charlotte, N. C. She then became a buyer for Thalhimer's Department Store in Richmond, VA for 18 years. Upon her retirement she returned to Charlotte to be close to her family. She is survived by son Guy Sharpe; daughter Linda Singer, and husband Lee Singer; granddaughter Tonya Jethro; grandson Cliff Evans; great-granddaughters Ciara Evans and Nicole Jethro; and great-grandson TJ Jethro. A celebration of her life will be held on February 14, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Harrison United Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Highway, Pineville, NC 28134; the family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service. Following the service will be a reception for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Harrison United Methodist Church.
