Ophelia Matthew Obituary
Ophelia is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Douglas Matthew, her children Linda (Matthew) Ross and Jeff Matthew, two grandchildren, and her cherished Cocker Spaniel, Bentley. She was the heart and soul of her family, and her presence will be deeply missed.
Ophelia had a passion for spending time in the kitchen, where she showcased her remarkable talent as a cook and baker. She lovingly prepared holiday meals for her family, and the memories of gathering around the dining room table will forever be treasured. During Christmas time, Ophelia delighted in baking the most delicious Christmas cookies, spreading joy to family and friends.
Ophelia had a green thumb that transformed her backyard into a picture-perfect and beautiful garden. She took great pride in cultivating its vibrant colors and fragrant blooms, creating a peaceful sanctuary. Ophelia's garden also welcomed a variety of wild birds, bringing her joy as she observed their playful visits.
Loving, compassionate, kind, friendly and sweet were just a few of the qualities that defined Ophelia Matthew. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and touch the lives of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In this time of loss, let us remember Ophelia for the love she shared, the kindness she embodied, and the joy she brought into the lives of her family and friends. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory live on in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
