Oscar Huntsinger Obituary
During World War II, Oscar served with the Army from 1943 to 1946 and fought in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He was a paratrooper attached to the 187th Infantry 11th Airborne Division. After the war, he worked at Owens-Illinois in Glassboro for 41 years, retiring as a foreman in 1982. Mr. Huntsinger was a member of Downer United Methodist Church and VFW Post 0521 of Washington Township, He enjoyed auctions, casino trips, reading, farm animals and his dogs.
Oscar is survived by his wife of 62 years, Julia R. Huntsinger nee Hofmann; his children, Robert L. of CA, Richard J. (Patty) of Monroe, NY, and Sharon R. Schomber (Walt) of Thorofare; and 4 grandchildren, Kevin Kendig, Jr., Victoria Huntsinger, Kelsey Schomber and Nicole Schomber.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Tuesday August 18, 2009, at 11:00 AM in the MATHIS FUNERAL HOME, 43 N. Delsea Drive, Glassboro, NJ, where friends may visit with the family after 10:00 AM. Burial of his cremains will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hurffville, NJ.

Julia, Kevin, and the rest of Oscar's family, We are so, so, sorry for yor loss. Oscar was a great man. So devoted to his animals, and customer's. May your memories be with you always.He will always be remembered! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you comfort and strength during your time of sorrow.
