Pamela (Pam) Ann Boyette - SAVANNAH - Pamela (Pam) Ann Maxwell Boyette, 71, died November 4, 2015 after a brief illness. Pam was a native of Savannah but lived in several states as well as England and Wales with her loving husband and children. She was the daughter of the late Palmer McDougal Maxwell, and Estelle Hutto Maxwell. She attended Savannah High School, Georgia College, and the University of Georgia where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Child and Family Development. Pam was active in a variety of areas throughout her life. She was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and was Regent of the General Daniel Stewart chapter in Perry, Georgia for several years. Spiritual life was extremely important and a driving force in Pam's life. She was a lifetime Episcopalian. She was the Director of Christian Education at Trinity Episcopal Church in Rocky Hill, NJ for several years where she also served as Lay Reader, and Lay Eucharistic Minister (she continued serving in these capacities for the rest of her life). It was here where she entered the Episcopal Diaconate program, which was continued in Ahoskie, NC. As part of her ministry in Ahoskie, NC and Murfreesboro, NC, she organized and directed an annual free medical mission for indigents and farm workers. She was a member of the DOK (Daughters of the King), was an elected delegate to the national convention for many years, and was a member of the National Council. Pam was truly multitalented outside of the spiritual world too. She was the founder and owner of Cruiseland Travel Agency. She was also a member of several civic organizations. Despite all of her activities she always had time for her husband and children with more love than can be expressed here. Pam is survived by her husband (his love will never end) of over 50 years, Morrison Heyward Boyette; son, Dr. Morrison Heyward Boyette, Jr., and his wife, Tiffany, of Lexington, SC; daughter, Pamela Suzanne Boyette of Hoboken, NJ; and granddaughters, Kyra and Audrey Boyette of Lexington, SC. Visitation will be on November 9, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Savannah, Georgia, (located at 1802 Abercorn Street, Savannah, Georgia 31401, on the south-east corner of 34th & Abercorn Streets) from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at St. Paul's with Fr. Charles Todd officiating. Following the service the burial will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Road Savannah, Georgia 31404. We don't know each other, but Pam and I grew up together in Savannah. We lived right across the street from each other until I moved to Birmingham when I was 12.
May God bless you and hold all of you tightly in His arms. I know Pam is okay, because The Best is Yet to Come. De Colores, and much Episcopal love from an old friend.

To the Boyette Family you have my deepest sympathy. I was shocked and sadden to say the least to hear of Pam passing. I pray the family strength through the the Lord. My family and I have been friends with Pam for more than a dozen of years. We will miss her deeply. We would talk and talk on the phone for the longest while. I am so sorry, but I know she knew that I and my family loved her. Hayward and family I will continue to send up prayers for you.
Sorrowfully submitted,
