Patricia Ellen Conroy

Patricia (Patt) Conroy, 71, life long resident of Norwich died after a short fight with lung cancer, on February 22, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Emma O. Kaherl Stanley and Samuel J. Stanley Sr.

The oldest of nine siblings, she was like a mother to them all. Patricia is predeceased by two brothers Samuel J. Stanley Jr and Keith W. Stanley.

Patt worked many jobs over the years, starting with the State of CT, Mohegan College. She then went to Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Division. There she met a lot of people and showed her love of CT to them. After, Patt joined Psychological Associates ,for over 20 years she was the office manager. Lastly, before covid she worked for St Vincent De Paul's and was a pillar of the community, helping all of those in need.

During her spare time she loved spending time with her family and loved ones. She will forever be known as the Christmas Queen, as her love of Christmas was well known.

Patt was a dedicated member and soldier of the Norwich Salvation Army for many years until she resigned in 2001. Later on she became a member of Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.

Patt left behind her four daughters, Lee-Ellen Coons, Michele Jackson, Cherri Coons, and Kara Tefft and her husband Bryan Tefft Sr. Ten grandchildren Frederick Jr, Fatima, Leonard III, Trevon, Raven, Destiny, Bryan Jr, Anthony, Skylyn and Joseph. Seven beautiful great granddaughters.

Patt also had many cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces/nephews.

Patt had many, many friends that became family and many of them where adoptive children/grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at The New London Salvation Army on March 11,2023 at 1pm. 11 Governor Winthrop Blvd, New London, CT 06320
