Patricia Joan Dix Gibson, 74, of 849 Frank Ave. died the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2008, in Jameson Hospital.Born May 22, 1933, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John and Audrey McPherson Dix.She was married to Roger J. Gibson for 22 years. He survives.She was first married to George R. Koivula for 18 years. He survives.Mrs. Gibson worked for Rigotti’s Plaza as a laundry aide until she retired. She was also a loving homemaker for her husband and family.She attended New Castle High School.Mrs. Gibson enjoyed bingo, bowling and playing cards with her friends. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.She was Episcopalian.Survivors include three daughters, Karen Black, Debra Koivula, and Audreen Stiteler and her husband, Terry, all of New Castle; two stepchildren, Joanne Marshall and her husband, Jack, of New Castle, and Roger Gibson Jr. of Connecticut; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Dix and William Dix; a sister, Clara Leese; and a niece, Marci.There is no visitation. A private service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.Arrangements are by the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Karen, Audreen, Debbie, So sorry for the loss of your Mom. I can remember how I was always hanging out over at your house...and before you could drive Karen and she would have me drive her car and send us for errands!
