PATTY A. STRADER EMBREE

November 30, 1929 - August 4, 2013

Patty A. Strader Embree, a resident of Dallas, Oregon died on Sunday, August 4th in Dallas. She was born on November 30, 1929 in Bellflower, California the daughter of John and Francis Hillhouse. Patty grew up in California and graduated from Excelsior High School. Patty married Maurice Strader in 1951. They came to Dallas, Oregon in 1973. Maurice passed away in 1978. Patty later married Bud Embree in 1982. Patty worked for Polk County as a bookkeeper until she retired in 1994. Patty was a member of the Dallas First Christian Church. Patty enjoyed bowling. She was an avid reader. Patty and Bud enjoyed traveling with their 5th wheel and especially enjoyed camping at the Metolius River in eastern Oregon. They were also snowbirds in Arizona for a number of years.

Patty is survived by her husband, Bud Embree, daughter Pamela Burt, John (Susan) Strader, David (Tiffany) Strader, step sons, Ken Embree, Wayne Embree, Herb Thompson, step daughters, Mary Erickson, & Terry Oliver, step brother, Joe McClure, along with grandchildren Shellee Rodriguez, John Strader Jr. Kayla Strader, Payton Strader, Vickie Strader, Amy Stipech, & Issac Erickson great grandchildren Kaycee Rodriguez, Andie Rodriguez, Savannah Strader, John Strader III, Jasmine Strader, Michael Marshall, Emma Stipech, Ethan Stipech, & Micah Stipech, great great grandchild Brynlee.

Private family services will be held in the Dallas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center 287 SW Washington St, Dallas, Oregon 97338 who is caring for the family.
