Paul Ferris Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 30, 2013.
Paul Wayne Ferris Sr. peacefully went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 91 years of age. He enjoyed a full life loving his wife and family. He loved and served His Lord Jesus Christ with a grateful heart caring for all God brought across his path without discrimination. He didn't talk about caring, he put "shoe leather" to the word. No one was a stranger to him. He treated all like family. Paul was born to Esther and Roy Ferris, on June 13, 1921 and grew up with his older sister Dawn and younger brother Roy. Paul, served his country in World War II as a Military Police in the Army. He volunteered as a Boy Scout leader and served at Grace Gospel Church in Chicago for many years. He did not live life as a spectator, he really lived. He lived his life looking forward to heaven. Paul is survived by the love of his life of 71 years, Isabel; three sons- Paul (Lois), Ron (Wanda) and Don (Charlotte); 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. While we miss him terribly already, we rejoice he is freed from this body that was failing him and now enjoys his eternity with his Lord and Savior and all those who've gone before. We'll see you when we get home. A Memorial Service will be held at the Moorings, 811 E. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005 at 1:00 - 4:00 p.m on Saturday, May 4th, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Eagle's Wings Ministries, 980 Elsie Mae Dr., Boulder Creek, CA, 95006 www.eagleswingsministries.org appreciated. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Illinois - 847-577-6505 or www.cremation-society.com
