Paul L Henretty
3/13/1987 to 1/23/2025
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Paul L. Henretty, a beloved son and devoted father. Born March 13, 1987 in Newark, DE, Paul always felt that it was more of a blessing to give than to receive. He will be remembered for his boundless generosity, beautiful soul, and radiant smile that lit up any room he entered. He enjoyed the beach, sports and animals, but what he was most fond of was spending time with his son, Giovanni.
He is preceded in death by his son's mother, Tiffany A. Hyrcek; maternal grandfather, Joseph D. Fols, Sr.; stepmother, Melody A. Fols; paternal grandfather, Paul H. Henretty, Sr.; and paternal grandmother, Barbara L. Henretty.
He is survived by his son, Giovanni L. Henretty, and his three sisters, Renee Dowdy, Taylor Whittlesey, and Aubrey Hyrcek; mother, Cheryl A. McCauley; father, Paul H. Henretty, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Marguerite Ciritella; his aunts, Catherine A. Fols and Cynthia L. Henretty; uncles, Joseph D. Fols, Jr., Stephen M. Fols, and Dominick P. Ciritella; as well as many loving cousins.
Although his life was cut too short, he will live forever in our hearts.
A memorial to celebrate Paul's life will be held at a later date.

We are extremely saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He was such a warm soul from the few interactions that we had with him and anyone could see how much he loved Gio. You all are in our thoughts.

I am so saddened by Paul's passing. He was a kind and considerate soul. He came to see my grandchildren and brought small toys. They called him uncle. I know what you are going through, and it never stops hurting. Words from new song...I'm not ok, but it's all gonna be alright. My prayers are with you and Paul.

I only knew Paul from work but it didn't take many interactions to realize he was a good man with a big heart.
He was very generous and you always knew his help was just a call away.

One of my funniest memories of Paul was my wedding. While at dinner, my brother joked that everyone should get a to go container so that I would have a set of wedding china. After dinner, in the parking lot, Paul gets my attention and proceeds to pull about 10 cloth napkins out of his pockets like a magician so they could go with the takeout containers.
