BARBERTON -- Paul E. Lepley, 85, passed away January 19, 2021. Paul was born in Coventry Township and was a graduate of Coventry High School. He retired from Dominion/East Ohio Gas Co. after 37 years as a Department Head of Gas Operations. Paul was a member of Lockwood United Methodist Church where he was a Trustee for many years and was very dedicated to the church. He was an avid Fisherman and an overall "Jack of All Trades." He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Garnet; son Mel; granddaughter, Jennifer Johnston; brothers: Raymond, Charles, Earl and Leroy; and sister, Anna Mae Hanley. Paul is survived by and will be missed deeply by his loving wife of 63 years, Maxine; son, Marc (Sherry); daughter, Cynthia Johnston; grandchildren: Michael, Christian, Jacob (Monica), Jared, Justin and Samantha; great-grandchildren: Chandler, Mariah and Cody; and numerous friends. Paul's Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Lockwood United Methodist Church, 3680 Manchester Rd., Coventry. Pastor James Ellison officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lockwood Church. Sorry to learn of Paul's death. He was my boss at Akron Eastwood. He was the best boss I ever had. He was more of a friend than a boss. My prayers are with the his family.
