MACKEY PAUL F.
91, passed away December 14, 2008. Mr. Mackey retired in 1982 as a Customer Service Engineer for IBM (International Business Machines) after 40 years of service. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and relocated to Virginia Beach in 1995. He was a 1937 graduate of Carrick High School. He was an avid woodworker and gardener and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Louise M. Mackey (Panke), one son, Terry D. Mackey and wife Jody of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Judith L. Sokolowski and husband Leo both of Va. Beach and Nancy A. Gaughan and husband Marc of Moscow, PA, four grandchildren, Raymond G. Sokolowski and Scott C. Sokolowski and wife Christine all of Orlando, FL, Bryan Mackey Gaughan of Philadelphia, PA, Beth Mackey Gaughan of Moscow, PA and three great-grandchildren, Brina P. Sokolowski and Evynn C. Sokolowski both of Jacksonville, FL and Jarek Mackey Sokolowski of Orlando, FL. A funeral service was conducted Wed., Dec. 17th at 2 PM at HOLLOMON-BROWN FUNERAL HOME Great Neck Chapel with Pastor Chris Bowen officiating. The burial followed in Princess Anne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4416 Expressway Dr., Va. Beach, VA 23452 or the SPCA, 3040 Holland Road, Va. Beach, VA 23453.
