Paul Siebenthal Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 30 to Jul. 2, 2023.
Amarillo - Paul LeRoy Siebenthal, 84 of Amarillo, passed away on June 27, 2023. Funeral services for Paul will be at 2pm, Monday July 10th at Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th Amarillo, TX 79110. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday, July 9th at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Paul was born on November 23, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois to Benjamin and Isabel Siebenthal. Paul was the youngest of 4 boys. He graduated from Woodruff High School in 1956 and attended Bradley University in Peoria.

Paul met his true love, Bonnie Marie Hogan Dietz, while they were teens, and on April 2, 1960 they married. They spent more than 63 years married, more than 67 in love and remained steadfastly devoted to each other through life's many ups and downs, losses and gains. Paul worked in the grocery business for most of his life, starting as a store auditor and working his way up into leadership on a corporate level. He was also a store owner for a time. He culminated his successful career at Affiliated Foods in Amarillo, Texas where he retired as the Vice President of Operations in 2005. Paul enjoyed many hobbies over his lifetime including golf, whistling, singing at the top of his lungs, and clearing a dance floor with his adoring wife. He was a dedicated family man who loved and lived for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Because nothing was as important to him, he spent many evenings and weekends attending band concerts, dance performances, sporting events and any other activities where he could cheer on his beloved kids and grandkids. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alfred, Albert and Benjamin Siebenthal; and two grandchildren, Justin Siebenthal and Briana Nicole Stewart. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Siebenthal of Amarillo; his daughter, Kit Stokes (Wayne) of Ozark, MO; his son, Paul Siebenthal (Tonya) of East Peoria, IL; his daughter, Jane Stewart (Blake) of Venus, TX; his daughter, Vicki Poole of Kennedale, Tx; his nephew, Eric Siebenthal (Melissa) of Morton, IL; his niece, Nancy Weaver (Jerry) of Peoria, IL; his grandchildren Ryan Stokes (Kristi), Tori Tate (Clay), Maegan Stewart (Jacob), Courtney Biczo (Brandon), Leslie Siebenthal (Sam), Spencer Stewart (Cloe), Hanah Poole (Riley), Connor Stokes (Stephanie), Emily Stewart, Cian Paul Siebenthal, Delaney Stewart, Chloe Siebenthal, and great-grandchildren, Jayden Siebenthal, Randy Tate, Briana Stewart, Bonnie Tate, Aubrey Stewart, and Eva Stewart-Harris and many great nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. https://www.michaeljfox.org/
