PAUL WESLEY TUTTLE Paul Wesley Tuttle, 75, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Life Care Center, after a brief battle with leukemia. He was born in Guilford County, NC, son of the late Weldon C. Tuttle and Mallie Covington Tuttle. Mr. Tuttle retired from McCormick & Company with twenty-seven years of service. After retirement he worked with National Car Rental in Greensboro as Operations Manager, and for the last five years was employed with the Cape Fear Community College, North Campus. A kind and gracious man, he tirelessly served his church and community. He was a member and deacon of Masonboro Baptist Church and director of the Sunday School program and the Outreach Program of the church Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Brenda Borders Tuttle; a son, Brian Tuttle and wife Maria of Wilmington; a daughter, Susan Tuttle of Greensboro, NC; a grandson, Colin Tuttle; a brother, Neal Tuttle and wife Mary Belle of Greensboro; four nephews and three nieces. A brother, Jerry Tuttle preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Masonboro Baptist Church, 1501 Beasley Road, Wilmington, NC, 28409. Dr. Gordon Wright, Jr. and Dr. Michael G. Queen will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Masonboro Baptist Church Building Fund.
