Peggy Arft-Goethe Obituary
Arft-Goethe, Peggy L. (nee Arft), passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022.
Beloved wife of Dennis Goethe; dear mother of Nathan Arft; daughter of the late Hank & Ruth Arft; dear niece, cousin, friend and lover of all animals.
Services: Private Services were held at her family’s funeral home, the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin. Interment St. John United Church of Christ Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stray Rescue. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Dear Dennis and Family, I haven't seen Peggy in several years, however we grew up together at St. Johns UCC. Ruth and Hank were dear friends of our family. Ruth and my Mom, Jerry Edmondson (nee Langenbeck) were confirmed together at St. Johns and years later, Peg and I were confirmed together both of us using our mothers confirmation verse. So many wonderful memories. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss! Seems like yesterday that I worked with Peggy, Ruth and Hank. In no time I felt like family. I enjoyed the few minutes that we would have to chat and laugh as Peggy always lightened the mood. Please know that Peggy and you are in my prayers.

I haven't seen Peggy since the early 1980's. She and my mom, Dianne Lewis Murphy, were friends. Every memory I have of her is a good one. I was just a little girl but she always made me feel special. My condolences to Nathan and the rest of her family. I am certain she'll be sorely missed.

Peggy was the most generous, kind and giving person. She did things to make other's lives so much easier. Including mine. I remember taking gifts to people she adopted at Christmas time, a huge truckload of food and whatever else a family could need. She truly cared for others.
I can only hope and pray that Peggy is at peace and that her death was fast, and she did not suffer.
She was a huge influence in my life. I will always be grateful for all Peggy was to me.
